Yes, we are trained in early childhood education and undergo refresher courses yearly. We have undergone background checks and fingerprinting and are passionate about working with children to ensure their safety, development, and well-being. We are also pediatric and adult CPR and first aid certified.
We provide daycare services for children from 6 weeks to 12 years. However, our focus is typically on the infant and pre-school age group, spanning from 6 weeks to 5 years.
Our daycare operates from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Monday to Friday.
We follow a play-based curriculum that focuses on social-emotional development, language and literacy, cognitive development, and physical development.
Child safety is our top priority. We have protocols for drop-off and pick-up. Additionally, our staff is trained in CPR and first aid.
Certainly! We encourage families to schedule a visit and tour our facility before committing to enrollment. This allows you to see our daycare environment firsthand and make an informed decision.
To enroll your child, please visit our facility and fill out an enrollment form. We will also need a copy of your child's immunization records. You can find the necessary enrollment documents under the Enrollment section of our website.
No, we do not charge an enrollment fee. We believe in making the enrollment process as simple and accessible as possible for families. You'll only be responsible for the regular tuition fees, which will be discussed during the enrollment process.
Our daycare charges a weekly fee, and we do not offer daily or part-day rates. Fees range from $289 to $400 depending on your child's age. For detailed rates, please refer to the Enrollment section on our website and download the "OCFS Rates" PDF. We adhere to Queens County Group Family Day Care Home rates. Tuition is due weekly until services are terminated.
Yes, payment is required weekly regardless of attendance, including during holidays or vacations. To remain enrolled and secure your child’s spot upon return, payment must be made before the planned absence. If you anticipate an absence of one month or less, you are required to pay for that period in advance. For absences extending beyond one month, please contact us to discuss your individual circumstances. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.
Please pack diapers, ointment, wipes, two changes of clothes appropriate to the climate, a blanket, sunscreen, tissues, bottles, milk or formula, and food for your child. Please also bring a small playpen for your infant. Labeling items with your child's name helps us keep track of their belongings.
We provide a well-rounded experience for children, including age-appropriate educational activities, creative play, storytime, outdoor playtime (weather permitting), arts and crafts, music, and more. Our goal is to engage and stimulate children in a safe and nurturing environment.
No, we don't provide meals and snacks. Please bring nutritious packed meals that are ready-to-eat or can be prepared and heated up on-site. We are delighted to serve and feed your child during our designated hours for breakfast, lunch, and the afternoon snack, ensuring they are well-fed.
We have designated nap-time hours when children can rest. We provide individual cots and mats for each child. Please provide a portable crib/Pack N Play for infants under 2. Infants will be placed on their back to sleep, with no loose bedding or toys.
We prioritize the health of all children attending our daycare. If your child is feeling unwell, we kindly ask that you keep them home until they're fully recovered to prevent the spread of illness.
We follow a positive reinforcement approach to encourage good behavior. Our staff members focus on teaching children appropriate behavior through guidance, redirection, and positive feedback.
We believe in open communication with parents. We offer regular updates through daily reports, photos, and a monthly newsletter. We're also available for one-on-one discussions or meetings as needed.
We take pride in our small 1:6 teacher-to-child ratios, specialized curriculum, and emphasis on outdoor activities. Our commitment to individualized care and holistic child development sets us apart.
Please notify us before 9:30 am if you anticipate being late or your child will be absent for the day.
Yes, admission after 9:30 am is at our discretion, and timely notification is crucial for consideration. Please call or text us by 9:30 am.
Please pick up your child by 4:50 pm to allow for a smooth departure and to allow time for any necessary preparations or updates about your child. Arriving after 5:00 pm incurs a late fee of $2 per minute the first 10 minutes, and an additional $5 each half hour. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to our schedule.
Full-time enrollment often offers children more opportunities to engage in a wide range of activities, build relationships with peers and educators, and benefit from a comprehensive curriculum that covers various developmental areas.
We do not provide sustained part-time enrollment. However, you are welcome to bring your child during the days and hours that suit your needs, though the daycare fee will remain based on our weekly rate. If you need to adjust your child's schedule, please discuss your situation with us, and we'll explore any available options.
